The BU women's team signed 2 players in November, Michelle Lund of Bishop Heelan HS in Sioux City, Iowa, who is off to a great start, and Leah Kassing of Brown County HS who is sitting out her senior year as she recovers from a shoulder injury. --

Another update on top 2008 BU women's recruit, Michelle Lund.
She continues to fill it up each game, scoring 25 points to lead Heelan HS to a 3-0 record, and a #2 ranking in the state of Iowa. Michelle and her teammates made 26 steals, and forced an amazing 38 turnovers.
Lund is averaging 23.3 ppg.

Michelle Lund scored 30 as her team, Heelan of Sioux City, Iowa beat one of the best teams in the next larger division, Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln 85-36.

Another update on BU recruit Michelle Lund-
Her team, Sioux City Heelan, the #2 ranked team in Iowa Class 3A, played the #1 ranked team and lost 68-53. Michelle Lund scored 24 points, which is close to her average, as Heelan is now 5-1.

Excellent reading material Coach. Thank you for providing the link to that story. Each year seems to give some hope to the BU women's program, but then they never seem to get over the hump.

Maybe with an addition of a true gym rat, that may change. The new facilities might also help out in the recruiting department for Coach Buscher.

I hope to catch a few Lady Braves games this season.

The BU women's team has gotten another commitment for the class os 2008. Lauren Niemiera, a 6' point guard from Marist High School. She helped lead Marist to a 25-10 record, and a 4th place finish in the 4A state tournament.

It looks like there might be one more women's basketball recruit. According to this article, Bradley signed Katie Novak of Lockport High School to a LOI last week. There is no mention of this on the BU website.
