Yuba is 7-1 after winning last night 64-58 over West Hills in the opening game of the 8 team American River College Tournament in Sacramento.
Former BU recruit Xavier Crawford is injured and did not play. Freshman post player Sean Harris had 14 points and 15 rebounds and leading scorer 6'5" freshman wing Tristan Wilson had 19 points. And former Bradley recruit Courtney Tyler had 7 points. Yuba plays again tonight.

Xavier Crawford will never play a Division I game.

I disagree. Don't you recall how desperate some Div 1 teams were to sign big men last spring. Kids with averages of 4 points and 3 rebounds a game were getting scholarships to D1 schools. I think X has more potential than Shang Ping, and there are bunch more names I could dig up of big men signed late that aren't as good as XC. I don't know what his numbers are, but he is starting for a top 20 juco team. Some D1 will offer him a scholarship.

I think he will play some where next year.He could be a good player if he would just work on his game and get in the weight room.But some people just don't have that drive.

My thoughts are more based on his academic reputation more than anything. I totally agree that schools will sign just about anyone over 6'8" who can walk and chew gum at the same time (and even some that can't) in the spring period. I just think Xavier has the academic track record that says no matter how easy they make it for him to succeed, he'll find a way not to. 3 high schools, a DI committment, and a JUCO later, and we're still waiting to see him at the DI level. I hope he plays somewhere, everyone who talked to him in his short time at BU said he was a real nice kid.
