Here are the current Sagarin ratings for Bradley opponents:

    Non-conference
    141 - Illinois-Chicago (L, 75-84)
    157 - Iowa State (W, 65-56)
    328 - Maryland-Eastern Shore (W, 98-71)
    327 - Florida Gulf Coast (W, 82-74)
    145 - Iowa (W, 67-56)
    22 - Vanderbilt (L, 86-95)
    186 - Loyola-Chicago (W, 64-47)
    263 - Southeast Missouri State
    12 - Michigan State
    109 - Wright State
    14 - Butler
    97 - VCU

    Missouri Valley
    34 - Southern Illinois
    35 - Missouri State
    39 - Creighton
    56 - Northern Iowa
    80 - Bradley
    82 - Drake
    90 - Wichita State
    106 - Illinois State
    175 - Indiana State
    191 - Evansville

I know it's early, but this is just a way to compare teams early in the season. This also seems to confirm my thought that in order to "erase" the loss to UIC, we'll need to win at least one game against Michigan State/Butler and both games against Wright State and VCU.

No, it's not SEMO (RPI #248 ) or Michigan State (RPI #33), but Wright State is ranked #1 overall in RPI.--
The lofty RPI for Wright State didn't last long. In another hit for the MVC and for Bradley's RPI, Wright State lost last night at Marist. Their RPI fell from #1 to #49.--

          144 - Iowa State (W, 65-56)
          330 - Maryland-Eastern Shore (W, 98-71)

          139 - Wright State
          13 - Butler
          76 - VCU

          Missouri Valley
          32 - Creighton
          46 - Southern Illinois
          56 - Drake
          57 - Missouri State
          77 - Bradley
          86 - Northern Iowa
          103 - Wichita State
          106 - Illinois State
          157 - Indiana State
          195 - Evansville

I still say we need to win these next three games in order to "erase" the loss to Illinois-Chicago. It would also add a great deal of momentum heading into the conference season.

There's no erasing on a resume ... all that matters is quality wins (Bradley has zero), overall wins (considering the lack of quality wins, would probably need 24 wins overall to get an at-large bid), how you finish and minimizing the bad losses ...

The Butler win would be something that the selection committee would look at very favorably.

If you remember the Sweet 16 year, a big reason we made it is because we won 7 of our last 8 and took down a Top 25 team on their senior night (UNI).

We will have our chance to do the same thing this year, with a challenging finish including two versus Creighton and possibly a conference title-deciding game with SIU.

Everyone knows that we're going to have to finish in the top two of conference to even have a chance at an at-large.
            Go Braves!

I have an idea.... how about Bradley just going out and winning the MVC. When was the last time the MVC Conference Champ didn't get a bid? I think it was 1992. SIU and ISU finished 14-4 but Mo St at 13-5 won the MVC Tourney. SIU got an NIT bid and ISU stayed home. That year, the MVC was 21st in Conference RPI, SIU was 108, ISU 121 and Mo St was 98. (wow - seeing that info shows how far the MVC has really come, huh?)

On realtimerpi, Wright State now has a 105 RPI, and Bradley has a 107... being separated by Wichita State at 106
This is just the tip of the iceberg...
