It's been tough finding out any news about Eddren McCain. He plays for tiny Reserve Christian High School in Reserve, Louisiana, and the town doesn't even have a newspaper.
But here is an article that appeared in the online version of the New Orleans Times-Picayune after Reserve Christian beat Christian Life High School of Baton Rouge, LA. Christian Life is the defending state champion in Class 1A while McCain and Reserve Christian is the defending state champ in Class C.
They played on Nov. 13 and Reserve won 54-43. McCain had 13 points in that game. But they had already played 9 games prior to that game.
Other articles I found include one from Nov. 21 after Reserve Christian played Cox High School, which features the #1 high school player in the country, 6'10" Greg Monroe who is committed to Georgetown.
Eddren McCain had 20 points, but Reserve lost 79-46. Reserve Christian was 12-2 after this loss.
It does sound like Eddren had a good game, including a block of a Greg Monroe dunk.--
And from a prep message board there is a post noting that Reserve Christian beat H.L. Bourgeois HS 80-67 on November 26. Eddren McCain scored only 9 points, but set up several teammmates for a total of 12 three pointers for the team. RCS HS is in New Orleans playing in the CYO Tournament from Wednesday to Saturday of this week. They played St. Paul HS last night, but I haven't found a result.
add: here was one report from an early game in which Eddren McCain scored 25 points--
