Tennessee Tech, Lubbock Christian, any number of times to Evansville, Drake, Indiana State I am sure there are many other examples of where we have a better team and come back to Peoria with a loss.
No matter what anyone thinks this is nothing but a trap game. We just traveled to play two BCS teams, now we go play a team in the middle of the week in a gym that probably will have less then a 1,000 in it and we have Michigan State in less then a week.
I really really hope we learned alot from the UIC game and do not take anything for granted and come out with a huge killer instinct.
Why can I see BU down 15 at the 10 minute mark of the 1st half?

If one listens to me we are down 20 at half. I just never feel any confidence when we go on the road, but then again this season it has to do with how we have been so inconsistant with the basketball and knowing how a team generally has to play or limit the number of errors when it plays on the road. Also, we foul a lot so if we start doing that the officials will pick up on that and murder us with the fouls and a team like Loyola will be able to hang around from the free throw line.
I really hope the second half of the Vandy game team shows up here.
I agree with you to an extent Houston, but not because of history. Simply that winning on the road in college basketball IMO is the single most difficult one-day task in sports.
History does play a role, though, in that many of those teams you are talking about never experienced winning on the road or neutral courts. Many players currently on the roster have won in many different environments, road, neutral, and tournaments. . .
So confidence should not be an issue on the road anymore, detail will be.
Whereas, many of those reference road losses, the team was prepared and focused, but just mentally couldn't close out those games.
