Wheres SIU's D? They are causing TO's but USC is at a whopping 70% FG. USC has outscored SIU 24-13 ever since OJ entered the game at about the 14 minute mark in 1st half. I'm liking Bradleys chancing of beating SIU even better now. SIU's below average offense is killing them right now. Still lot of game left though, we'll see what happens.

SIU down by 12 at the half. Only 23 first half pts for SIU. If SIU loses big and doesn't score more than 50 points in this game then you can bet that SIU will fall out of the top 25. I don't care what anyone says about great defense, you have to have decent offense to go along with it. SIU hasn't shown that to me this season. Lets see if they can do a Bradley comeback in the 2nd half.

Give USC's defense some credit too. Floyd's teams have always defended well, and they're doing a lot to force SIU into long jumpers. Shooting isn't SIU's strength. BU can beat SIU, but it all starts on defense.

USC has 3 or 4 future NBA players on its team, SIU maybe has one..maybe.
          Can we start winning soon?

Yet they found a way to lose to Mercer....at home.

Thats why the NBA is in there future. I dont think they would lose to Mercer again in March.

Look at the box score it seems that SIU has 11 PF to USC's 4.

They probably would beat Mercer 9 out of 10 times they played them, but that's why they play the games.

I think we're seeing that SIU is mortal and is not the invincible force that some make them out to be. Miami-OH only lost to USC by 2 last night in a game that was in the 50's. Miami has a nice team, but I don't think they're as good as SIU. I think BU and CU fans should be encouraged that, despite what some may say, SIU has flaws just like the rest of us.

It should also be noted that this is a virtual home game for USC. Let's hope for a strong 2nd half for the Salukis.

SIU has flaws but they are pretty good, we will need to play our best game to beat them. I am encourged by the fact the Mullins still cant shoot and Fay does not seem to be as good as advertised yet.

And that about seals it, SIU getting slaughtered by 22 points with 7 minutes to go. SIU stuck on 37 points for about 4 minutes now. This could be an ugly ugly loss if SIU doesn't start scoring. USC playing lights out D and shooting about 70% FG. I guess this'll be SIU's early bad game but they are ranked #19 and will likely be knocked out of top 25. USC was when they lost to Mercer in the first game. Our non-conference games against ranked Butler and MI State look even bigger now if we want to crack the top 25.

Is it me or did Mullins turn the ball over about 11,000 times in this game...

The ESPN talking heads didn't kill SIU too bad for the loss. None of the, well it's just an MVC team, sort of crap. I was really hoping they'd win.

I was in a bar to watch the game so I didn't hear the commentary, but to me it seemed like SIU blew a lot of their defensive assignments tonight. I might be over-analysing but I think they overplayed USC's attacking guards which gave them (USC) an oppurtunity to attack the basket and make easier baskets then what is usual against SIU.

SIU came out confident, played their game and jumped to a 13-8 lead at the 15 minute mark.
Then it seemed they lost their confidence, passed up some good shots, and once they found themselves behind - where they had never really been this season, so far - they panicked and made bad passes, gambled too much on defense, and forgot the fundamentals.
Falker had a good game, but nobody else did after the first 5 minutes.
Their shooting guards - Bone, Wood, Armstrong, Green, and even throw in Cornelius, Coopwood - made the first shot (a jumper by Bone) then missed the next 12 or so and ended up 4-20 in the game.
Boyle made his first shot - a 17 foot jumper - then missed the rest of all his 5 shots for the game.
Also, the bench overall added nothing, that's where BU can have some effect on SIU, we are actually deeper and get some production from the bench.
OJ Mayo played well, but really, a 13 point, one assist, 6 turnover performance isn't exactly HOF material.
