  • SIU vs USC

I mise well get the thread started now. SIU gets a big showdown tonight at 10pm for the Anaheim championship. A win in this game and SIU's rankings along with our conference will likely go up modestly. Lets see how Mr. Mayo does against SIU's D.

Should be an interesting contrast in styles. The only difference is that the SIU bump defense may get called against a media darling/superstar like Mayo.

Wouldn't be surprised if Mayo throws a punch or gets a flagrant "T" in this game. I'm guessing he'll be frustrated into numerous to's, fouls, <30% shooting, and less than 15 pts.

SIU will show them how real defense and team ball is played; they'll be ranked 12th after this game, IMHO!

This game will depend on how close the game is called by the officials and since USC is close to home don"t be surprised if SIU gets called for a lot of fouls.

ESPN is reporting that OJ Mayo is apparently the greatest thing since the spliting of the Atom.

Other then the constant OJ Mayo updates and camera following his moves, the game has SIU down 3 with about 4 to play 1st half.

Later tonight ESPN will tell us how OJ Mayo will win the 2008 presidental election, stay tuned.

                            Just another typical SIU game....

A 'stab my eyes out' offense coupled with 'grab and pull' defense.

                            I'm done.

Not that BU is as talented as USC, but I think BU (and Creighton) fans should be happy to see that SIU struggles with teams that are more athletic and offensively gifted than they are. That being said, I would really like to see SIU come back and win this one.
