I caught the highlights of the Bradley/Iowa game on the Big Ten Network last night. One of their studio analysts, Tim "something or another" stated that Iowa had no excuse losing to an average Bradley team! WHAT??!! Did this guy do his homework before he made such an ignorant statement like that?
I personally like the Big Ten Network in that they cover sports in a more professional manner than the "rah-rah" methods that the "Eastern Seaboard Programming Network" does. However, ESPN apparently still has the edge in research of the teams over the Big Ten Network. I understand that the BTN needs to hype their teams, but at least give credit to their opponents when the situation warrants. Let's hope they realize that there is other competition out their, because with the way the Michigan football team played at the beginning of the year, and the way Iowa and Penn St (loss to Rider!) played yesterday, their conference may not be as rock solid as they think (outside of the top three teams or so).
