This is going to be a tuff game to win and BU is going to have to play it's best game of the season to beat Vandy. After watching Vandy last night they looked big, physical, and have a lot of scoring options. To me, this would be a much bigger win than beating Iowa last night.

Let's put it all together and bring home our FIRST championship of the season!

Can we please not use the RPI numbers until at least January? We're four games into the season.

            Huge Win

If we could pull this one out, other than the NCAA tourney games and possibly Providence last year in the NIT.

This would probably be Les' biggest win.

Thank you for the voice of reason. I remember a couple years ago that the RPI wasn't even calculated until January. I even had a video game that wouldn't calculate it until every team had played like 10 games. I agree with Scouter. The RPI is meaningless right now. And overall, it's pretty meaningless anyway - see Missouri State.

The MOST important thing is how many quality wins you get. Everybody will have their "UIC" or "Tennessee Tech" games, but how many wins do you get against very good teams (or big schools, for that matter). So far we're 2-0 against average big conference teams. This is our first shot against a GOOD, big conference team.
              Go Braves!

Just using it as a comparison. I realize it's not exactly a scientific measure of the quality of teams at this early stage. Actually, I think it should go without saying that beating Vanderbilt would definitely be a MUCH better win than both Iowa and Utah State.

That's my point. It's not a "valid" comparison until midway through the season. Look at some of the top teams up there now. They won't be there at the end of the season. And BU probably won't be wherever it is right now at the end of the season. So let's hold off on the RPI bologna for awhile.
