Illini Recruit Jereme Richmond suspended

Jereme Richmond made a comment that is quoted in the Sun Times, that Illinois coach Bruce Weber might not want to hear.

If you read the next to last paragraph of this story, it notes that Richmond
repeatedly says he's only going to spend one year at Illinois.
"During the press conference, the 6-6 sophomore repeatedly referred to his ???one-year??? at Illinois -- which is probably interesting news for Illini coach Bruce Weber."

Wow. This kid is something else. He and his family go on and on about how they're 'not like the Gordon's', and now this kind of stuff starts coming out. Poor Bruce.
 
I really doubt that Weber is surprised by this comment - Illini fans have been assuming that he'd be a one-and-done player for some time now. This isn't really much of a story.
 
I say ditch him. He sounds pretty cocky for a sophomore, and I'd prefer a kid who's committed to the program. Plus, guys who are cocky like that are often do more harm than good, especially a kid who thinks he can do whatever he wants.
