• Enabling the smilies and message editor for your posts

We have finally figured out why some posters do not have the "Message Editor" when they post messages. The Message Editor allows a poster to easily add smilies, and to add images, quotes, colors, text formatting and options like bold, italics, and underlining.

Each registered member must set their options in the User Control Panel to allow the Enhanced Message Interface. It's easy, and it helps improve your messages. Here is how to do it----

--Once you are signed in, click the User CP option in the middle of the black bar across the top of every page. That will take you to your User Control Panel.
--Then click Edit Options- the 4th choice down the left side column of options.
--Then scroll down to the last section- Miscellaneous Options-and the top choice in that box is Message Editor Interface. The default setting is Basic Editor, but change that to Enhanced Interface.

Now you can use the smilies, and all the other text options in any messages.

Note that this same page allows you to set many other user options.

Right below the Message Editor Interface is an option to change "skins". Most Bradley fans will probably prefer our default Bradley Red&White style, but if you are at a work computer, you may want to switch the skin to the setting "Default Style" which will make the pages all appear the original bland blue style. This might keep you from getting into trouble with the boss who thinks you are really working when you are on the computer!

And note that this page also allows you to set the Time Zone setting and a number of other things like the number of posts you see per page. If you aren't sure what you are changing though, I suggest leaving it at the default setting.

BradleyFans.com- the #1 site for Bradley Braves fans

Cool, I was wondering why I couldn't do this stuff before, like adding links and pictures, and colored text. Thanks for the helpful post DC.

How do you post a picture, does it have to have a host?

The image you want to post must have a web address. If it exists on another website, try clicking the right button of your mouse while the cursor is on the picture. Then select properties and copy the exact address of the image. It must be in a standard image format such as .jpg, .jpeg, or .gif.

Then post that image address in your post. There are 2 ways to do it--
Click the little icon with the mountain to insert an image, and enter the address of the image, or just paste the image address into your post and put after it.

If the image is on your computer, there is no way to post it directly into a post. You must place it on the internet somewhere, such as an image hosting site, then use the address they assign to it and follow the above instructions.

For image hosting, try www.photobucket.com . Or do a google search for "free image hosting", and you'll find a bunch of other image hosting sites. It's easier than it sounds.

You can post an image from your computer. Just use the attachment button at the top. It looks like a paper clip, upload the image and attach to the post. It does have to be a fairly small image though.
