From what I was watching the refs are really letting them bang. It looks like MSU will destroy us if they play that well (or we play as poorly as the last 3/4 of our game tonight).

After our sloppy win tonight against FGC, we have a long way to go to compete with MSU...

MSU had a long way to go after losing to Grand Valley St.

          Great quote Scouter!

You are only as good as your last game.

UCLA comes back to win 68-63. MSU went cold down the stretch, and their leader Neitzel couldn't make a shot in the last 5 minutes. UCLA scored the last 10 points.

Great game - UCLA pulls it out.

BU is gonna have their work cut out for them when Mich St comes to town.

Very true, but every game I see MSU play, the more beatable (relatively speaking) I think they are. They can look unbeatable in stretches, but they also have shown against Grand Valley, Missouri, and UCLA how they don't know how to finish games, which is a sign of their youth. Our home crowd will be key in our game against the Spartans. This team can be rattled, as we've seen the last 2 games.

All that said, it sure would have been good for BU for MSU to win that game.

Actually I think we have a decent shot at beating MSU. MSU shoots good but if you look at tonights box score there is some telling comparisons for what Bradley needs to do. UCLA won by 5 points yet they made 14% less FG percentage, outrebounded MSU by 7, had 6 less TO's and 9 less fouls. Seeing how Bradley has had some great rebounding this year and has shot fairly decent at home, I think we can take em as long as the turnovers are kept under 15 and the refs don't call a foul every time a finger touches someone. I don't see us getting blown out like last time though.

Did i see it correctly that MSU had 5 big-men playing throughout the game?! that will make it pretty tough for us... especially if our bigs get into foul trouble w/ them... but i'm hoping for our best outting that night!

Trying to keep out of foul trouble is going to be our biggest challenge against MSU. The one thing I was most impressed with from their game last night was their ability to draw the foul inside.

We will not beat anyone of any substance if we continue to turn the basketball over in alarming numbers.

UMES we had double digit turnovers from our interior and last night it was double digit turnovers from our guards. We now have 82 total TO's and only two players with more Assists then TO's. Folks thats 20.5 per game.

JL says that he does not want to dwell on the turnovers because we take care of the ball in practice. As AI says, were talking practice. When the lights go on for real this team is very poor at handling pressure and makes very poor passing decisions.

Ill worry about MSU when they come in on the 4th, until then honestly we have our hands full with Iowa, Vandy/Utah State and many will not think this but Loyola will be as difficult a road game as we will encounter all season.
