One thing the Civic Center could try is to crank the AC up and lower the temps by 10 degrees as well as installing some sort of dehumidifier system. They could also try putting down an insulation pad between the floor and the ice to keep the cool air from rising to the surface. It doesn't take rocket science.

The past few years when it has been warm outside, it's been very cold when you walk into the Arena. It wasn't that way Tuesday. A couple people around me even mentioned it. If the renovations changed the way some of the air flows, the PCC is going to need to make some adjustments.1996 & 2019

I'm not sure what the cost will be to clean this up but it is costing BU money not to fix this. When we played Villanova I remeber their head coach then saying one reason he will not play us again was because of the horrible court conditions. This has to be a priority for Carver! When is our contract up? I know we do not have much of a bargining chip but we could put pressure by proposing to build a on-campus basketball only arena. Carver management is just another 2nd rate organization that better get their priorities in line or else we should explore alternatives. This is just embarrassment for the university and Peoria that after so many years they cannot find a work around to this problem."Educate and inform the whole mass of the people...they are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty."

There is a thread on this everytime it happens because it is never fixed. It is an embarrassment to Bradley, the Civic Center, and the City of Peoria. It is never fixed because in spite of the pronouncements the Civic Center management doesn't really take it seriously. Maybe they will next month if Michigan State players are falling all over the court and Izzo pulls them off and refuses to send them back while the world watches on Sports Center. Or maybe when a high school player gets hurt and the IHSA pulls the state tournament out of Peoria. The truth is they have been very lucky over the years but eventually something very serious will happen. It doesn't matter how hard it is or how much it costs, the Civic Center needs to get serious and fix it or they need to choose between basketball and hockey.

Maybe we can all sneak into the Civic Center late at night for a few weeks and throw a lot of salt on the ice.Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final
