I just think Collins should have more of salley's minutes. Where is TCS too? If he's supposed to be Franklin, I haven't seen it in a game that's mattered yet. He's been a total non-factor so far.Comment

Salley played very good defense tonight.. wasn't pretty but BU wins... 82-74???We all want Bradley to win. If our methods and visions for that are different, then so be it. Don't ever attempt to tell me I am not a fan!???Comment

Salley played very good defense tonight, but he looked terrible on the few shots he took. I was expecting a lot more offensively from him this year.
We have got to cut the turnovers way down. I could overlook it against UMES, since we were up big the whole game, but it almost cost us the game tonight.Comment

Maniscalco was good tonight, his best game as a Brave. The same can be said about Wilson.
Crouch really didn't have a very good night after the first three possessions of the game. He was really timid at times and looked afraid to queue it up.
Ruffin is an absolute savior. He buried a couple HUGE threes that really kept them from totally catching up to us.
Egolf didn't see practically any minutes in the second half. That's disappointing in my mind because even though he's a freshman, he looked really good on both ends in the first.
Warren couldn't hit anything from the perimeter but was really solid in the lane.
As it will be said by a million posts in the next couple hours, it was just way too sloppy of an effort.
By the way, give Florida Gulf Coast some credit. They've got some good players and they played really well tonight.Go Braves!Comment

Salley had 5 blocks!! DC should play more with Salley not at his expense. TCS report has not found his shooting touch yet and Sam I am is simply playing better. In the long run I think TCS will be a big factor for us.Originally posted by chitown fanatic View PostCan we start winning soon?Comment

I would have preferred a blow-out, but a "W" is a "W." Definitely need to work on turnovers.
More importantly though is that we need to keep cool when the other team is going on a run. Not sure if that's because a lot of the guys are new. However, the only way to prepare for this is in a real live situation. So, hopefully the guys learn from this.
On the plus side, our offense and defense in the first half was awesome. Just need to carry it over to the second half. The new players are coming along fine, I think. Maniscalco played great, filling-in during Ruffin's foul trouble. Will Egolf is looking more comfortable and makes great plays for us. And Theron Wilson still remains my favorite player among the new guys. He does so much for us on both ends of the court.
The only disappointment I have is with TCS. He exploded in that first exhibition game, and I was hoping his offense would be more prevalent in the regular season games. I'm not sure what's up there. We all know he can do it, so whatever it is he needs to work on, I hope he overcomes it.
As for Matt Salley, I thought he played a good game. Defensively he did good things for us. Like I said earlier, that steal he made at the end helped seal the game for us.Comment

Tonight we were lucky to pull off a W IMO! JC was forcing it all night....bad passes and bad dribbling.....at least 3 balls went out of bounds off his foot? TCS is really forcing it...reminds me of JJ a couple of years ago....they said JJ was great in practice but would speed up his whole game in front of a the crowd.....this is what I think TCS is doing....he cannot even dribble right now! My biggest complaint would be the coach's letting #4 just tear us up all night.....please put somebody big on him....he was way too much for a 6'5 TW to handle by himself......yet we let him go all night?
WE played good.....MS got in some good minutes with the 5 blocks......I also think DC needs more minutes...slide MS over to the 4 and let the bigs take over....in a tight game getting DC to the line would be a big bonus IMO!
It is really nice to see TW get to so many rebounds and lose balls......you can tell when it's important to a player and his hustle keeps us in the games! AW had a decent game but it seemed like he really had a lot of rebounds in the 1st half(haven't seen a box score yet)and I still like him on the court!But as they say A W Is A W!

First of all, kudos to Florida Gulf Coast as they showed a lot of heart and made a game of it. Well, all except Landon Adler (#21). What a cheap shot artist. Too many to list, but two stand out. When Will Egolf fouled him on his 3 point attempt, Alder gave Will quite a shove in the back. Then late in the game he pushed our one player, not sure who, in the back as our player was going towards the stanchion and could have resulted in an injury.
Way too many unforced turnovers. Passes to an invisible player. On the plus side David Collins cleaned up his outlet passes, much more forceful.
Ruff made the important hoops down the stretch similar to what Andrew Warren did against Iowa State.
Sam Maniscalco has improved soooo much. He really has settled in nicely.
I thought Theron Wilson pulled something when he was fouled going baseline. The trainer did work on his leg during the one time out.
Matt Salley had his best game of the year especially on defense. 5 big blocks.
Cole-Scott has disappeared. Geez he looked so good in the preseason.
Finally, the floor was a joke, an absolute joke. The PCC has to know when it is this hot that the floor is going to be a problem, FIX IT.
