Yeah...it just seemed like we went from having a player intro piece that looked more like an NBA production in terms of quality and presentation...to something this year that looks like something that the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the NBDL would throw together on their shoestring budget...

I thought the same thing about the Valley or the ncaa complaining about it being too long but we should be able to shorten it and still keep the best parts of it; I am not going to be available to be able to call and ask coach Les but would sure hope someone else is able to ask him why this was changed.

I know I'm not with the majority here, but I was of the opinion last years introduction lasted way too long. This year so far I think the intros are more reasonable. It's not like we have been a basketball powerhouse for 20 years. The intros get the crowd in the game, but once the game starts the band, PA announcer and the goofy promotions do away with that. I've been going to BU games for over 50 years and the introductions don't win games, they don't have to be that extravagant. Sorry.

Iliked last years intro much better. Maybe the length needs to be shortened. I also, liked when an ex-player or even an ex-coach would give a message to the arena to get excited or whatever. It was much better, and it turned the excitement up for the start of the game.

I'm with the majority.....last year was something special. MAYBE they are waiting until some "bigger" games to break it out again. And who cares how flippin long it was....its entertainment and THATS what we are there for. Sure the game is paramount but our intro was original and about BU. PERIOD.

I live in South Florida and went to one University of Miami basketball game. Actually their intro seems similar to what you describe as the Braves' current intro. They show some video highlights, the players are on the floor already, and then they announce the starting line-up. I hope our current one is better than what I saw at U of M as it did little to pump you up.

Nearly all are simple one-at-a-time player intros of the visiting team first, then the home team. Rarely, I have seen the intros alternate one visiting player, then one home player. A very small number of teams use spotlights (5-10%), and darkened stadiums (<5%), and even fewer use video intorductions.

Your are so right about intro's winning BB games. They don't although I enjopyed them and they could still do one that is played just before the BB team comes back unto the floor. (It could be a lot better then they have had so far) If you want to bring anything back from last year to help the team stay fires up, bring back the standing until the first media time out and then after the last meida out of each half. We are back to taking naps and watching BB games w/ our hands under our ?????? to much. We have people that think i fyou clap a couple of times that they have made plenty of noise.

You know what I think about people sitting on their hands and taking naps. If they are up and cheering don't make them stop by goofy promotions and worthless PA announcements. Vroman, PLAY THE FIGHT SONG.
