As far as the RA posts........I was calling for RA to be put into the game during the breaks and on the 3rd time JL went down and grabbed him! RA gets into the game ....looks huge......sets very good screens and scores 4 pts! I thought he played well for the few minutes he was in!

Bradley played nearly the whole 2nd half with Collins, Egolf, Maniscalco, Lavin, Phillips, Cole-Scott, and Rashad Austin.
But UMES had 3 starters in there right to the end.

I'm just getting back from the game. The reason that UMES started catching up is because we were playing all the reserves for a huge portion of the game. Andrew Warren had a big game. He had two 4-point plays, and he shot 5 free-throws on one play with a foul on the 3 and a technical. Matt Salley looked somewhat lost again tonight, and David Collins is still pretty timid. It was nice to see Austin get a couple minutes and he had a really nice post-up in the second half. The flagrant foul on Will Egolf was nasty, and I'm glad they ejected Popovic or whoever that was. Overall UMES was a terrible team and I hope Florida Gulf Coast can put up a little bit more of a battle.
This is just the tip of the iceberg...

We did turn the ball over a lot today. 24 total including 13 from Collins (7) Salley (4) Austin (2). That is to many.

Crouch was 3-9 from 3 today, from those at the game anything anyone might be noticing about his shot? Was he short, being defended but his shooting from 3 has been a bit slow to start the season.

And BTW they made up exactly 2 points from halftime to the final score.

Yeah I figured Les would put them in to get them some experience and a feel for what they need to work on in a live game. Will help our depth

Most of JC's missed 3's were short and hit the front of the rim today!

JC looks fine with his shot, it will come. He did have his left wrist taped though, and I saw him hold it once or twice. It could be a very small tweak or something from the Iowa State game. He will be fine.

Several random thoughts from the game.

I've got to agree with Da Coach. I thought they were a very poorly coached team. There was a total of (3) technical fouls- one on thier coach and two on thier players, which one of them lead to an ejection.

Thier uniforms were really quite entertaining. The shorts they wore completely covered thier knees and looked like a pair of goulocks. Also thier warmup shirts had "hoodies" which some of thier players had on thier head during the warm ups.

They practiced free throws during the warmup and were terrible from the line today. I have not seen the stats but would think thier percentage was under 40%. Even the free throws that went in were not clean shots.

Rashid Austin looked great for the time he was in the game. He only played about 5 min. but made great cuts and has good hands for the two layups that he made. I looked at him several times on the bench after he was in the game and you could tell he was spent. He will contribute from what I saw today, but he appears to have a long way to go in terms of conditioning.

                          Interesting Statistic.
                          Free Throws
Bradley had 29 attempts, made 24 of them. 83%

UMES had 39 attempts, made 19 of them. 49%

I can't remember seeing a team average under 50% free throw shooting, especially having almost 40 attempts!

They shot free throws worse than if Shaq, Wilt Chamberlain, and Ben Wallace were their shooting coaches. The few that actually hit the rim looked awful.

They only averaged 58% in their first two games from the foul line and didn't do anything to help that today!

Attendance was 9117 today, but the crowd, especially the fans were GREAT, and very loud!
not a bad crowd for a Sunday game!

One recruit was at the game....he was on the floor with the team during the warmups in the locker room with the team after the warmups and when they dressed and before the game,
and he came out onto the floor with the team when they came out for the introductions, and then he went to his seat just up behind the BU bench, where he stayed the rest of the game watching....
It was Jordan Prosser, and he seemed to be having a good time!!
