I kinda took the summer off the board, but wasn't Austin the real prized recruit that would have an immediate impact? Am I wrong?

If we were all sitting around at Jimmy's having this conversation over a jar... right now would be the time for everyone to throw a pretzel at GTD.

      Just kidding GTD.

From Fox Sports' Bradley Team Report:

WEAKNESSES: Bradley's big men are a mystery. Matt Salley is solid, but can't do it alone. Transfer Rashad Austin is the best candidate to give the Braves help inside. David Collins, Will Egolf and Anthony Thompson give the Braves more big options than last season, and that's a positive.

SCOUTING THE NEWCOMERS: Rashad Austin is the player Bradley will count on to give its skilled guards help. He averaged 13.3 points and 7.9 rebounds for Northeastern (Colo.) Junior College.

PROBABLE STARTING LINEUP: PG Daniel Ruffin, SG Jeremy Crouch, SF Andrew Warren, PF Matt Salley and PF Rashad Austin.
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

Well, there are a number of us who predicted a similar lineup, so there's a chance FoxSports was just taking this from BradleyFans.com!

and of all the incoming juco players, Rashad was the only one who came from a program
who went to the NJCAA Tournament, so the prognosticators likely
extrapolated that into the prediction that Rashad would be a starter.

I agree GTD. That is why I had Austin in my starting lineup.!
Before I get castrated, let me say I know it is wa----------------y early( 2 reg. season games) but, right now Wilson and Collins seem to be the only recruits that are game ready.
That being said, Egolf, once he gets his confidence mojo going, looks like he has a tremendous upside.
Maniscalco has a future, but not now! It seems like when he goes in, the whole game goes into slow motion.
Scott Coles should be getting Maniscalcos minutes and then some.

Ruffin would have that affect on anyone. I do, however, agree that SM is not quite ready for the minutes he's been getting.

Hopefully the team isn't looking at Maryland-ES like you guys are, otherwise we could be looking at a tight contest. You've gotta respect every opponent.

I agree, he does follow Daniel, but Scott-Coles comes real close to Daniels quick, if not his ability!

GTD -- I think he was. I thought the reports were that he was at one time considered in the top 100 high school players in the country, but something had happened and he ended up at JUCO where he was mostly forgotten about.

Shaunguth, I had to put that on my signature. McCain's quote still makes me laugh. I love the fact that we are getting a player with an attitude.

I agree 100%. A lot of us on this board took UIC and an atleast 4-0 start for granted. Not looking so much past UIC but figuring they would be worse then even their team last season. So, even if the names are hyphenated BU can not look at all past either. 2 very strong 20+ wins will make playing these two RPI kills a little less hurtful.
