I would have thought Manhattan should be higher than just buried deep in the "Others Receiving Votes" after seeing them go to Maryland in the NIT and knock them off.

For all the preseason hype, and all the rant during the year about Northern iowa,
and how they were such a lock for the NCAA etc.
It sure seems like BU ended up having the better year!!

Part of UNI's problem was the Crawford injury. Also, they seemed to peak early in the season playing their best ball then. Bradley peaked late in the season which always leaves a better taste in the fans' memories.

Here are some other interesting facts about Bradley.

As of the beginning of the 2005-2006 season, Bradley was 36th in NCAA D-I wins, among all Division I programs.
Bradley had 1,451 wins and 950 losses.
West Virginia was right ahead of Bradley with 1,452 wins, and NC State with 1,461.
(BUT--West Virginia finished the season with one less win than BU had, so now BU is tied for 35th!)
Bradley's winning pct. of .604 was also 45th best all time.

How do these numbers compare to other midmajors?
Only Temple (1,639), Princeton (1,510), and Western Ky. (1,503) are midmajors with more wins.

Here's hoping BU can stay on top for a long time!!

I think there is a typo in your post-
Bradley is #26 in all-time wins with 1,452 prior to this season.

Here is a link to the NCAA record book. It includes recrords through the 2004-2005 season. The list of winningest teams is on page 46.

Page Not Found (404): It looks like you're lost... The page you are looking for no longer exists.

You are right, that's a typo.
BU is now tied for 25th best all time with 1,473 wins
