  • A true fan

I just wanted to throw a shout out to whoever it is that sits directly to the right of the student section (if you are looking at the student section). He cheers for the Braves in a truly exceptional voice for the entirety of the game.

You my good sir, are amazing. How you continue to yell for the entire game astounds me. I just wanted to thank you for showing your support, my friends asked me who you were and honestly I could only tell them that you would yell for the entire game. If you are on here, or if anyone who is on here knows who this is, tell him the Red Sea appreciates his support.

Does he have gray hair and a beard? Big guy? 'Cause you may be referring to a guy called the "super-fan" (unofficially, I think). I think he's a regular at the Bradley games and the local high school basketball games.

If he's the same guy, I saw him once at Buffalo Wild Wings two years ago. Just screamed his lungs off in the middle of the bar during the Bradley Northern Iowa game.

Truly he is a fan among fans.

That's the guy I am thinking of. I think he is a big Peoria Central fan - right?

              Thanks for posting LHL....

              Just reminded me.

The LHL-fan that's usually in the front row of the student section looked like he got a haircut!

"Superfan's" real name is Jay. He is a Peoria High School and Bradley graduate. When I played hoops in high school (about 100 years ago) He was in the front row for all our games giving the "LION ROAR". The man loves his hoops!!! (and hoops pizza and beverages! )

Yup, Jay is a Central grad but shows up at a whole lot of local events such as Richwoods games, Central games, Bradley games, tournaments, etc.
He actually graduated in my wife's graduating class at Central, but I don't think she ever really knew him, but he sure does love and support local basketball.
I even saw him at the BU-ISU game last season down in Normal.

I was with Ser Solace those two years ago. I'm a loud fan but I got nothing on this guy and realized it immediately. He loves his basketball and has ridiculous stamina on his cheers. The game we were watching was BU @ UNI, which I remember as the game that pretty much got us back into the NCAA hunt. He was just screaming in the BW3, and started up a chant of N-C-A-A YES! It was great fun. My tickets are upper bowl, and I always listen for him, because he can be heard from way up there.

He is a great guy and a very knowledgable fan. He always stops by the student section before the games and I really admire his passion.

Yes he did, but he was still going crazy with all his fellow students!

didn't this guy follow cellus/ruffin to bradley?

i don't remember him being at games before cellus/ruff got here.

glad he's here, and I too can hear him from the upper bowl.

Super-Fan, Jay, Jay the Weatherman- whatever you want to call him. It is an honor to call this devoted fan my hero in life, and if there ever came a day that I possesed the slightest percent of his "fanhood" i would declare myself one of the luckiest persons in the northern hemisphere. One may question his physical appearance, his clothing style or even his blood alcohol level, but not a living being on this planet could ever possibly question his fanhood. I actually talked with "super-fan" Jay during home opener on wednesday, and I have to say that he has lost a considerable amount of weight. I first got to know him at the BU-ISU game last January as we were both the first people at Carver waiting to get in, so we had a nice chat. Anyway, Wednesday he said he is enjoying shooting hoops himself, and that it has contributed to his large weight loss. I think he said he had been taking something like 1000 shots a night or something. Anyway, he is great, and can usually be heard yelling OVER the student section.

Also, his seat is apparently at some focal point, he somehow can get his voice echoing from that certain seat into a much louder cheer.
