Bradley has annonced the receipt of 2 Letters of Intent. This comes from an official Bradley release--
High school point guard Eddren McCain (Laplace, La./Reserve Christian H.S.) and junior college swingman Chris Roberts (Fort Worth, Texas/Dunbar H.S.) both have signed the NLI’s and will join the Braves for the 2008-09 season.
“We are really excited about these two additions to the Bradley Basketball program,” said Les. “Not only are both players extremely talented basketball players, but they are also quality individuals and good students.”
Originally from Houston, McCain is a 6-foot point guard who has helped Reserve Christian High School to the last three Louisiana Class C state titles. An all-state performer during his junior season, McCain averaged 21.8 points, 9.0 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 3.3 steals last year. After ripping down 16 rebounds in the semifinals, McCain contributed 24 points and eight rebounds in the 2007 state championship game to snare game MVP honors. In the early going this year, McCain has averaged 20 points, seven rebounds, 10 assists and four steals per game, while helping his team to a 10-0 start.
Roberts will come to Bradley from Navarro College in Corsicana, Texas, where he is completing his sophomore season. An athletic wing, Roberts averaged 9.1 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists during his freshman season, while shooting 39 percent from 3-point range. Coming out of high school in 2006, Roberts was ranked as the 45th best senior in the state of Texas by Rivals.com.
