  • Its official: The MVC does not exist...

Rivals.com, my former employer, somehow fails to recognize the MVC (consistantly the 7th best conference in the NCAA) as a D1 conference. There are no MVC team pages, and they just realeased thier list of the top recruits by conference. 30 conferences are broken down, and NONE of them is the MVC.

I couldn't have said it better Daniel. I have had several conversations with some of the higher ups at Rivals about at least getting an MVC recruiting page, and every time I get the same response "We're working on it". I find that hard to believe considering they have recruiting pages for low major conferences and even independent schools!

If you'd like to send them similar emails asking why the MVC doesn't exist to them, send them to Jerry Meyer - jmeyer@rivals.com. I ask that you keep it civil and tactful, as Mr. Meyer has always been cordial with me and my requests.

By the way Daniel, if your still following this thread, what happened between you and the DePaul Rivals people? You did a good job there for 3 months, then suddenly you and Freshjive are gone. What gives?

But BB-- they list a statement or comment about every single D-I conference except one...they have stuff even on the MEAC, SWAC, Big Sky, and the Southland, etc...
and not a mention of the MVC as if it doesn't exist....like they covered it all, talked about every single D-I conference, and the Valley isn't worth even mentioning!!!!
Maybe Aaron Schock should send some nukes to scout/Insider and get even !!

That's exactly my point T. They don't care about us, and are almost going out of their way not to acknowledge us. Hey...I have been hounding Rivals for months. They've probably got a filter now that sends my emails to the spam folder, so that's why I need fans like yourself to take up the cause. Jerry Meyer is tired of hearing from one Bradley/MVC fan. It's time he heard from 100's or even 1,000's.

I have e mailed them plenty, and scout/Insider as well.

I even go to the Bradley/scout page to sign in whenever I sign on to scout so they get a record of activity that shows BU fans DO EXIST!!!!
I can hardly blame them for thinking we don't exist, since Rivals doesn't have anything close to a BU site, and the scout site is terrible, but at least it exists.

As long as BU doesn't have football or play in a BCS conference, then even HS topics get more note

Jerry Meyer's reply to me was if the Valley would have beaten out the Big 12 they would have done a profile on the Valley.

He did not address why the Valley was not address in the recruiting page.

Beaten out the Big 12 in what? Did he answer as to why there are profiles on independent provisional D1 schools and low major conferences, but not the MVC? Keep bombarding him. Sooner or later he'll get tired of dealing with us.

They have now added the MVC to their list of all conferences top recruits.
