I also saw both play. Not to take anything away from Manuel, but Les was "hand-down" better in every way. And I think the pro career as a player and coach also validate this assumption. I'm not sure I would even say Manuel was quicker than Les. And Les was the much better floor General, IMO.
I loved Manuel and he was an all-time BU great, but I'd say Les was the much better leader and player.
(I'll never forget when I fist saw Manuel play with that high dribble - near his head- and almost constant palming of the ball on his dribble. Of course, he fixed both real quickly and became a great player)
