UIC v BU broadcast on Braves.tv was terrible. The video quality was pathetic, and it wouldn't stream well (would buffer every 30 secs). Is that a good indication of the site because I'm getting my money back if it is always that bad. I watched the game on the horizon league broadcast which had far better video quality and had no problems streaming (although their camera man was bad, and I didn't care for their announcers).

    Also the game sucked.

I subscribed to the braves online tv deal last year, and quality was usually pretty good. However, I agree, the UIC game video quality was terrible. Like someone was playing the game over the internet from an old VHS tape.

I'm not sure if this is just an insight issue. They maybe set something up wrong.

I drove 30 miles to see the game on Mediacom in Clinton, IL. There was no sound at any point during the game and rarely the score or time.

I have subscribed to the BUBraves.tv ever since it became available (I think this is the third year), and it is usually much better than it was tonight. Unfortunately, however, technical issues are not uncommon. Last year, for example, I don't think there was any audio for the entire Depaul game. There have also been several games where the feed was not available for portions of the game.

I also ended up watching the game on the Horizon webcast, and I have to say I think the video quality was better than the BUBraves site is even at its best (although I agree about the camera angles and announcers. As I posted in another thread, after seeing the FREE Horizon webcast, there is no excuse for whoever is running the BUBraves site to get their act together.

I have a feeling it's more an Insight issue than with the website. Insight probably didn't set something up right on their end to send the best feed to the web. With that said, I'm surprised someone doesn't monitor the bubraves.com video feed during live games and catch these technical glitches to fix them.

The DePaul game was a good example. How could someone not catch that there was no audio?

So who do we complain to? If this isn't fixed I'd like my $50 back.

I have DirecTv and couldn't get the insight feed but it didn't bother me because I thought I could watch it on the web. We'll after I saw the web feed, I was really ticked.

Yeah, I think we need to notify folks of the technical issue here. It's definitely not the tech. support folks from the bubraves.com website. I think the tech support is outsourced to a 3rd party, and this is not something to do with the website itself.

For those in the know, is Bobby Parker at BU the one to e-mail or contact about this?

I don't know who the correct person to contact is, but I'm not sure it was just the Insight feed. I think there was a problem with that, as it was a fuzzy picture, but my picture was also freezing up every few seconds, which I would think was a website issue. Whoever the contact person is, we should all email them - multiple complaints might help.

I went ahead and submitted a complaint via the BUBraves.com customer care link. I will also try emailing Bobby Parker.

I got an email response from Bobby Parker promising to look into the issues with the webcast. Hopefully they get it fixed before Wednesday.

                      Game on demand?

This is my first year having to rely on BUTV since I relocated out of state this past summer. I wasn't able to make the live game showing and thought I would be able to stream the game on demand later that night. As it turns out I couldn't and I guess according to the takes here it was probably a good thing.

Even though I know the result isn??™t what we wanted, I still want to watch the game and torture myself. Can anyone tell me if in the future I have to make sure to watch all the games live or if there will be an on demand option available for all the games?

PS ??“ Nice find on the Horizon league website. I??™ll be sure to use that in the future!

The games should be archived, but I don't think it happens real fast. My recollection is they are usually available next day, but I don't see yesterday's game up yet.
