I just heard about this, but I'm not sure exactly what time. David Kaplan usually has guests on his Sports Central during the 7 p.m. hour, so if you're in range and can hear 720, turn it on.

In case you missed it ...
Apparently there is a recently Bradley grad working at WGN who kept telling Kaplan "Get Les on, get Les on!" Les said it sounded like he had some smart bradley people there ...
Les talked about a lot of the stuff we already know:
"We on paper have the most talent we've ever had ... he likes this team a lot ..."
"Our returning guards - we're guard "rich"
They talked about the how good the Valley is ...
Then they got into an interesting discussion about Les' pro career.
Les was in the 1992 NBA shootout - Les v. Hodges - Coach said he was thinking, "what the heck am I doing here?" But coach noted it was a learning experience being around so many great shooters.
His wife reminds him that if he woulda made a money ball in the shootout, they would have an extra 10K right now.
Kaplan played up Les' good pro stats...Les talked about playing in many leagues that helped him become prepared for the NBA.
Kaplan took a true story that he apparently for helped keep Les pursuing a pro career, while they were having dinner in the Chicago area in 1988. Les was talking about hanging it up and Kaplan told him how good he was and eventually got noticed and made the NBA.Go Braves!Comment
