Yes....there MIGHT be a time limit thought. Lets all hope this doesn't happen...remember the M. Collins "un" redshirt. Not good.

I especially liked AT's comments in the article. It seems like he 'gets it' as far as what's best for him AND the program in the long run. Kind of reminds me when Bayo was a freshman and needed the redshirt year. Both were so talented you knew that once they matured, they would be a force in the league. I think AT has a Bayo-like future for the Braves.
I hope he is better than Bayo!

I hope he is too, but Bayo became a pretty darn good interior player by the time his days at BU were over.

Add 120 more pounds and he's Hulk Hogan. Add 400 more pounds and he's Andre The Giant. Add 500 more pounds and, well, he's just too fat then...

If he adds 500 pounds he's Rick Majerus.

I know we all have high hopes for AT, but if he is anywhere near the player Bayo was by the time he was a senior we will all be very happy.

IMO, Thompson has the potential to be a much better player than Bayo.

I would like to see him be as good as Bayo for more than one year. Bayo was really only a factor his senior year. AT needs to be a factor for more than one year.

He may have alot of potential but lets not foget how good Bayo was. Consider also how many more points he may have scored in our current system. If AT averages 9 points and 8 rebounds per game and is the defensive player of the year in his senior season can you imagine how good are team will be? I remember when Bayo shut down Robert "Fat Tractor' Traylor and helped us beat Michigan.

Please ,no disregard to Bayo, but do you remember him when he first got here. He was not even a D-1 player. In fact, he only helped us maybe 1 and a half years. It was a great 1 1/2 years but non the less facts are facts. AT is far better now then when Bayo was a Frosh. Cudos to AT, it is only going to help him get to the next level, which I think is attainable for him. I feel he is already better than O'B on the offensive end of the floor. He probably is a little lacking on the other end.Congrats AT you made a wise decision and we are going to enjoy the ride with you.
