  • Couple questions

Are there many people outside the Civic Center selling extra tickets before the basketball games? Will the Iowa State game be one where people will be looking for more than face value for their tickets? Finally is scalping even legal in Illinois? TIA

As far as I know scalping is illegal in Illinois, and I do not know of many people selling tickets outside the arena before games. I would certainly not count on it.

(Although I'm recalling once running into someone trying to sell a few extra seats, he was inside near the old box office window but the PCC still had some tickets to the game, just not quite that good..)

It is illegal but rarely enforced unless someone complains to officials.
Scalping at the Civic Center is rare since so few events are sold out, but at IHSA March Madness and rare BU games there are scalpers, but they don't ask much more than the value of the tickets or a little more.

Here is a really great way to lock in on Iowa State game tickets, although is sounds like a come-on...
But...BU is promoting a 4 game package because they really want to sell out these four games (Michigan State, Iowa State, VCU, and BracketBuster)

You can get the package for $40 if you want

I actually looked at doing that but the priority seating still isn't where I'd really like to sit. I've searched all the places that sell tickets and there just aren't Bradley tickets out there. I'm still hoping one will pop up on ebay or get an email from someone on here. All ticketmaster seems to have are tickets on the ends.

you can always find a student who doesn't have season tickets and get him or her to buy one for you. $1 is all it takes. haha, jk that's probably not allowed.

Try contacting the Bradley or Civic Center ticket offices by phone...

You will get the best response that way

Yeah it's extremely rare to find scalpers outside the civic center. I went to 4 games last season, including the NIT home game and didn't see 1 scalper outside.
