I think the context is clear that he's using that term to mean the same as a "midmajor"...don't you think?
This REALLY offends me. Refer to non-BCS schools, non-Power Conference schools as 1-AA???

That is what Littlepage refered them to. Is this what we are coming to? So we have Div 1 and Div 1-AA???

So they are gonna refer to these schools as such and help encourage the seperation of the two types and people's perception of level of play. Man - I am fired up about this. Molinari had the same attitude... 'well, we are just Bradley' with the shrug of his shoulders.

Good Lord. Get rid of that attitude or get rid of the people with that attitude!

Thank goodness Jim Les doesn't have that attitude! He believes it is possible to be a perennial top 20 team even if you are Bradley. You might have to work a little harder, but I like his work ethic and attitude.

He sounds a lot like Marcus Sikes, but Sikes may be a better offensive player, and Brown a rebounder.

Here is an article about Takais Brown. It may require a subscription-

It says- "Brown is hearing from schools such as Minnesota, Purdue and Georgia. Southeastern Illinois head coach Todd Franklin, who is one of the top JC coaches in the country, prefers to have his players concentrate on the season, so Brown will likely make his decision after the season is completed.

Brown, who was the Great River Athletic Association Freshman of the Year last season, is averaging 19.4 points and 9.2 rebounds per game, while shooting 62.4% from the field and 64.9% from the line."

Here is a brand new article on Takais Brown, who now says his list is down to just:
          Georgia, UNLV and Purdue

It is a premium article, but here is an excerpt:

"... Takais Brown from Southeastern Illinois Community College. Brown, who hails originally from Flint, Michigan, is one of the top six players in the juco ranks according to Rivals recruiting site JucoJunction.com.

He has had Indiana, he has had Cincinnati, Iowa State....those have been the people that have contacted us lately and tried to get involved," said Franklin. "Minnesota has been there throughout the year."

But at the moment it looks like those schools won't be among those that Brown picks from next week.

"Looks like the only three visits he is going to make are Georgia, UNLV and Purdue."
