I'll be there with my wife and 4 friends. 2 of the friends are alums, 2 of them are friends from the Chicago area who have never seen Bradley play and aren't fans (yet), but want to see why I constantly talk about them...they'll be wearing red and I plan to make them into die-hard BU fans by the time the game is over!

However, we're also playing in the Paradise Jam where we have the chance to play Baylor/Charlotte/Georgia Tech/Monmouth/Notre Dame/Wichita State. So, these are quality opponents as well.

As for Depaul, that is definitely a bigger game for us than Bradley...it's inner-city, and they have been reluctant to give us games...although, it's been rumored that our opening game next year will be Depaul at the Pavilion.

      Good luck!
I bet the Loyola-UIC intracity games are pretty good too...that was cool when the Bailey brothers were squaring off against each other...

Good luck to the Flames after Saturday!!

          T,
I'm up here hustling in the Chi' so I can't get down for each and every home game...so the exhibitions don't make the cut. In other words, I wasn't there and I don't know.

I hope all is well with my hero and spiritual mentor...its not unheard of for him to take a much needed and deserved break every now and then. I'm sure he's saving his energy and warm warm glow for the regular season. Or maybe he was in studio putting the finishing touches on the new Band CD. Man I cannot wait for that to "drop" as they say.

Was my main Thug and all 'round PLAYA E. Loring running the show yesterday? He's the heir apparant and up 'n comer but he better be patient 'cause he has years...ney...DECADES to wait 'fore Dr. Dave decides to hang up the old maestro stick my friends.

Our dear friend Eric Loring was indeed leading the troops yesterday.

I heard that Dr. V was off in a different part of the state, or maybe it was somewhere outta state I can't remember, judging a band competition.

After a pair of preseason offensive explosions, the Bradley men's basketball team will open its 104th season Saturday by visiting Illinois-Chicago in the first of four road games against the top four teams in the 2007 Horizon League standings.? Get ready for the 2007-08 season-opener by checking out this week's Bradley Basketball Notebook.

I know it's early but you have to like these stats........
                pre-season 3 pt shooting.......

                TCS.......8-15......533%
                JC.........6-14.......429%
                DR.........5-10.......500%
                AW........5-10.......500%
                SM.........3-5........600%

Not a bad start.....let's hope we can translate this into the real game!

If I can scrounge some money I might. I know a bunch of guys I know are heading up for the Indiana/Northwestern football game. Screw that, I'd rather see the braves.

I think it is great that a lot of us are going up to support BU; this is a very important game as it can get us going on a big winning streak ; hopefully we will have a larger turnout then UIC.

                      Game

It's great that there will be a lot of fan support for the first game! I am very interested to see how they will come out, so it will be good to have some form of home cooking for the guys.
                      Charge On Charge On Bradley!

I'd love to be there, but will be at the Owens Center trying to help break Bradley Hockey's multi-year long (5?) losing streak to SIU-E's upper division team.
