  • 2 other MVC exhibitions Sunday- InSU and UNI both win

Indiana State played their 2nd exhibition game of the season Sunday afternoon against University of Nebraska-Kearny.
Indiana State won 90-59 in front of only 2,863 fans.
    Game story--
The Indiana State men's basketball team was looking to wrap up its exhibition season on Sunday against Nebraska-Kearney, and that's exactly what the Sycamores did as they won a 90-59 decision over the Lopers in front of 2,863 fans at the Hulman Center.

    Box score--

University of Northern Iowa beat Bemidji State University this afternoon in the other MVC exhibition 80-61.
Reserve guard Adam Viet came off the bench to score 22 points on 7-9 shooting and 6-8 from 3-point. Eric Coleman also came off the bench for the second exhibition and scored 14 points.

Obviously Lundberg is NOT UNI's answer at point guard...
Tonight he lost his starting spot after a bad outing last time, and even though he came off the bench to play 19 minutes as backup point guard, he didn't score and had 2 assists and one turnover.
Had Viet not come off the bench and hit just about everything he threw up there, they could have been in danger of losing this game.
Their post play isn't too hot either, and I guarantee Coleman is going to start in the regular season games.
Their entire frontcourt combined, other than Coleman (Eglseder, Koch, Barz, O'Rear) totalled 20 pts in 65 minutes, while Coleman had 14 pts in 15 minutes.
I'll guess that Viet will start at guard instead of Dunham and Coleman will start with Koch or Eglseder coming off the bench.

Here's one other exhibition of note...
Syracuse just got by St. Rose 80-71, the game being a 3 pt game at half and within 3 pts most of the 2nd half as well.
Syracuse only took the lead for good with about 5 minutes to go.

      and one more...
      Indiana beat North Alabama 121-76
Eric Gordon wasn't bashful about shooting, as he was 10-16, scored 24 points, and played 32 minutes....way more than anyone else on the IU squad.
Lance Stemler started but hit only one shot and ended with only 2 points, 4 fouls, and THREE turnovers in 21 minutes.
Jamarcus Ellis had 10 pts, 6 steals,
but freshman Jordan Crawford (who has barely gotten 1% of the press and hype Eric Gordon has gotten) stole the show.....hitting 10-11 from the field and netting 30 points, 4-4 from 3-pt range in 22 minutes.

I duno if it was posted anywhere else or not, but Lance was named as one of the IU team captains.
