    Excellent read.

6 deep in post season play...not to shabby for an "off year".
I think he's spot-on regarding the new coaches and what they will bring to the Valley.

Sure is nice to read a conference preview by someone who did some analysis before writing (or copying) the actual the preview.

He sure likes the 3 Illinois-based teams in the MVC. Bradley's games with Illinois State and SIU games are going to be what college basketball is all about.

That's nice to hear I guess, but I think he's crazy about ISU making the NCAA's this season. I'd love to see it happen, but I don't see how.
Dinma Odiakosa 6'8 255......The Nigerian Nightmare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 37 points and 27 boards in 2 wins over Bradley. "Will Egolf is 6'9 and he had 4 rebounds. That's not good enough and he's not good enough"....Dick Versace 2/9/10

For the BU fans...here is some redshirt discussion in the Pantagraph regarding ISU,
I never thought they'd redshirt Rubin since they need PG minutes and backup badly.

Holloway can and will play the point after Boo and also you will see Eldridge with some time at the point. Dom Johnson can also play the point and did at times last year. Julius Moor as well. There are multiple options at PG. ISU is very deep at the guard spot and Jank's system is interchangeable especially in the backcourt so having only 1 true PG will not be a problem. Depth is there.

A redshirt for Rubin is something I was hoping for to be honest, though he was much stronger and quicker than I expected when I saw him in the scrimmage 3 weeks ago. This will serve him well.

2 of Indiana State's freshmen will redshirt--

Jordan Printy is a 6'4" shooting guard from Marion, Iowa, and Keenan Barlow is a 6'5" forward who is a walkon from Indianapolis.

Funny....I recall Van Coleman predicting Jordan Printy will be a HIGH MAJOR player...
                Here is the link

                (scroll about half way down...)

and others also said he'd be a strong D-I player....so I guess we'll have to wait to see.

Anyway....if you need more to see that Van Coleman grossly overestimated some of those players...note he also
predicted Keith Worner as HIGH MAJOR, and then when Worner got to Drake, he redshirted one full year, then was so weak he had his scholarship revoked and was sent packing.
Even DUBulldog agreed, he was "in way over his head at the MVC level".

There is no question that he was in way over his head in the MVC. He could barely get off the bench in summer league games, with high school and D-3 kids playing ahead of him.

However, I don't know that it's accurate to say that his scholarship was revoked. I'm guessing the coaches made it clear to him that he was never going to play and encouraged him to explore other options. But, I don't think they literally revoked the scholarship.
