In yet another press conference today, Kelvin Sampson answered questions....sort-of...
At least this time he stood before the press and fielded questions, but I will let you decide if he actually answered many of the questions asked,
or whether he made somewhat of a mockery of the so-called press conference.
From a transcript of the press conference, here are his answers once the questionas turned (as you knew they would) to the issue of NCAA violations:
Question: How much will the sanctions hurt you with recruiting?
Sampson: We are determined to move forward and do the best we can with them. How much it hurts us remains to be seen.
Question: One of the things that we learned Tuesday was what the recruits and their parents were saying (on the three way calls)...can you say anything...
Sampson: I know what I know. That is all I need to say on that.
Question: Well obviously you don't remember it that way?
Sampson: How I answered the question was the right answer.
Question: One of the questions that came up during the teleconference was whether you have caller ID...
Sampson: I am not going to get into that. If you guys have questions about basketball I would be glad to answer those.
Then no more questions about the violations or sanctions was answered.....
