    More BU news.....

This year's Tri-Captains are Daniel Ruffin, Jeremy Crouch, and Matt Salley.
Also....another mention of ticket sales being brisk..........
PEORIA, Ill. -- A pair of Bradley Basketball senior guards -- Jeremy Crouch (Pekin, Ill./Pekin H.S.) and Daniel Ruffin (Peoria, Ill./Central H.S.) -- have been named to the 25-player preseason Mid-Major All-America team by the website CollegeInsider.com, topping the list of News and Notes from the Bradley Basketball program today.? In addition, the Braves have announced tri-captains for this season and Michigan State coach Tom Izzo has joined the Braves Club Gameday Luncheon speakers circuit.

All hail the TRIUMVIRATE. I guess since last year, the team figured good things come in 3's?

Congratulations to the senior captains, especially to Matt Salley for improving his game so much and becoming a leader on the team.

Curious as to their mid-major designation. Obviously not the Non-BCS criteria as I think we would have seen some Memphis Tigers there. Noticed that Heytvelt, Curry, Jason Thompson and Maynor were on their All American.
        Which begs the question.

What, no love for the NCAA active career assist leader on the All-American list?

Just some more motivation for Dec. 22nd for Daniel R.

Maynor's a very nice player, but im getting a tad annoyed with him getting so many accolades and ruff being relegated to "mid major" lists. I don't think that ruff shutting down Maynor at VCU was any sort of fluke.

I guess we'll find out soon enough. I hope/expect ruff will expose maynor yet again.

I think it's typical of the major media outlets to focus first on the major conference teams, then on midmajors from the East Coast states. There is some pretty good basketball played in the midwest and west that is virtually ignored by much of the people who follow college basketball.

To me, it really seemed that Maynor had a really tough time getting to where he was trying to go against Ruff. Ruff's quickness really bothered the taller Maynor. If you recall Sammy Mejia, who was a taller guard, always struggled against the shorter Ruffin. I think the 6'2" and taller guards really have a tough time against defenders like Ruffin. Hopefully Maynor will struggle with him again this year.
