  • Fired IU Assistant Severance Package

Indiana coach Kelvin Sampson pressured assistant Rob Senderoff to resign,
but not before a nice severane package was put together.
Without even working another day, Senderoff will receive nearly $50,000 of
additional compensation plus almost $20,000 of other pay. And, as expected,
the agreement prohibits Rob Senderoff from discussing any aspects of his
resignation and his severence package publicly.
Also the agreement stipulates that Indiana University will “not state or represent
that (Senderoff’s) resignation was the result of any violation of NCAA Bylaws.”

Another new reports states that several recruits are wavering in their interest and commitment to Indiana.

As of the present, Matt Roth has confirmed his loyalty to IU.
LOI signing starts in exactly two weeks, and time, as well as new factors that arise might affect that

Well if I was a recruit I would have a ton of questions......

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

the recruits should be thinking about the sanctions that will happen as it will effect them in the coming years.

MR should stay with IU. If things get bad... KS fired, and/or major sanctions, and/or top recruits going elsewhere may only mean more playing time for him in the B10. He is in a very good spot right now and should stick with it. Good luck MR - and while you are at it... drop 8 or 9 long range bombs on the Illini each time you play 'em.
