But I can see why the rule exists.
If. let's say, some American AAU players are paid $$, making them professionals, then how can you be sure the other AAU players, especially on the same team, are not getting the benefit of that money....who is going to police it, and if it is allowed wouldn't every kid playing AAU ball then want to be on the teams who are paying the most players the most money?? This is a no-brainer...it has to be policed, and this is exactly what the NCAA is trying to do.
