Scheeeyaaa, right!
Why would I wear anything that would have anything to do with Arkansas State?
Maybe if they made a run to the Sweet 16 or something. But I don't see that happening anytime soon. Arkansas St went to the NCAA only 1 time and lost 1st round as a 15 seed in 1999. I think W Ky was the last team from the Sun Belt to go to the Sweet 16 in like 93 (under Clem Haskins, maybe?).

The Arkansas State Indians have considered changing their nickname to something less offensive. ASU is an NCAA Division I school that was on the original list of 18 schools that the NCAA determined had unacceptable mascots , names, or logos. But for some mystifying reason, they had backed off. Now the university is voluntarily exploring the possibility of a name change.
The Mascot Selection Steering Committee has recommended the "Wolves" as the new name if it is approved by the Chancellor.
Arkansas State University's Mascot Selection Steering Committee today voted unanimously to recommend to Chancellor Robert L. Potts that "Wolves" be adopted as the new mascot for ASU athletic teams, with leeway for him to develop detailed aspects of the new mascot, including use of color as part of the name should it be deemed appropriate. ??????? The decision came at the end of a two-hour meeting during which the committee discussed the various mascot options and associated issues that might arise with each choice.
