A great read. From the article:

"More people (22,612) attended the MVC title game than any other league championship tournament."

I'm wondering if their team capsules are in order of predicted finish? I don't see any other logic for the following order:

      SIU
      Bradley
      Creighton
      Missouri St.
      Northern Iowa
      Illinois St.
      Wichita St.
      Indiana St.
      Drake
      Evansville
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

I saw that, too and assumed that was their reasoning.
But I notice the top 5 teams are the ones that didn't change coaches, and the bottom 5 did.

Here's great news.........Bradley has been determined the leader in overall student athlete graduation rates in the MVC (for all sports).

The Valley tracks this data (as well as the NCAA) and BU is the leader among all scholarship athletes.

One other things, the most recent full semester, Spring 2007, Bradley had a 3.2 cumulative grade point average among all scholarship athletes, the record highest they have ever had!! This is the average of all student athletes under scholarship.

Good job and congrats to everyone involved.

Here are the exact figures..four class average (those entering 2000-2004)
                    Bradley 76%
                    Creighton 75%
                    Evansville 67%
                    SIU 66%
                    Drake 64%
                    Missouri St. 63%
                    ISU 64%
                    UNI 61%
                    InSU 59%
                    Wichita State 50%

CBSSports is counting down the conference rankings..
They are now down to #9 Conference USA

                        13: West Coast
                        12: Colonial
                        11: Mountain West
                        10: Western Athletic
                        9: Conference USA

Thankfully they aren't predicting 4 NCAA bids for CUSA like some other guy did earlier this week.

I am guessing that tomorrow's report (the revealing of # might well be the MVC.
If so, then #7 will be the A-10, and then the top 6 will be the 6 power conferences
(SEC, Big East, ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac 10)

Today's column ranks the A-10 at #8, so I wonder if he's got the MVC at #7,
I can't think it would be anyone else!

We all know the MVC is gonna be down this year... all the mouth-pieces are saying it.

Maybe the Horizon pops in at #7.

SIU again is predicted as it should be to win the MVC.
