  • MVC searching for go-to scorers

Andy Glockner from ESPN.com has a blurb in his weblog about returning scorers in the "other" (non-BCS) conferences, and focuses on the MVC.

He has this to say in the opening part of the article:

Proven point production is not the be all that ends all in some of these leagues, where seniority often rules the day, but it does appear that the Missouri Valley might struggle out of the gates as teams adjust to new primary scoring options. Will that make room for the Horizon to make another mid-major nonconference splash?

Then he focuses on individual conferences, including the MVC:

    Missouri Valley
The MVC really is lacking in returning firepower. Six of the 10 schools don't have a returning player in last season's top-15 scorers. Not that Southern Illinois needs one, but forward Randal Falker does make the list. Freewheeling Bradley has the league's top two returning scorers in Jeremy Crouch and Daniel Ruffin.

It is an Insider (subscription) article, but here is the link.....
