Coach Les calls Garry Parrish

I think it is fantastic that Jim called Parrish and plead his case. It sounds like he did it with a lot of class and solid reasoning (no surprise). I expect the players really appreciate him sticking up for them. It makes our players, our coach and our program look as classy and good to the rest of the nation as we already know they are.

Some posters seem to contend that people don't care about these publications/articles, but we sure spend a lot of time talking about what they say. I think we sometimes try to convice ourselves they don't matter. I agree they unjustly "dismiss" non-BCS programs but that makes it all that much sweeter when they actually recognize our players and our team.

Great job by JL. Why is pleading your case for your players acting like a 6 y/o no matter who the coach is? There is no way that any writer can judge every player in the country, so the bcs (done in lower case only because they think they are so big) gets all the pub because who do you think keeps these guys paid. Let's face it the BU's and MVC type teams are not going to create enough print to keep these guys working through out the year. Does that mean we can't be as good as they are, not at all, it onlty means that they are going to get all the pub and we are going to get the write ups like this is today.
One more thing, this is much better, by far, then being listed originally since how many guys can name 2 players from that original list w/o going to the article but there are now many people all over that know who DR & JC are as well as Coach Les and the BU Brave

I don't think this has been posted. I'm glad Coach Les got in touch with him and defended Ruff and JC. This is awesome, way to go coach!

They list their Top backcourts, and Bradley is not listed among the Top 15, but did anyone actually expect these guys would??

The top one of course is Kansas, but we know BU is better than they are, since BU proved in on the court.

Would you say one game 2 years ago when our team had a NBA center proves that BU has a better backcourt then Kansas this year? I dont think that counts as proving it on the court. We may very well be better then them but I would say that is subjective. We do however get to play the 14th best backcourt this year at Butler and that will be a great test.

I wonder what fans of other teams think of this. If it were Bruce Weber calling in to complain about Pruitt being left off I would laugh at him - not because Pruitt isn't deserving, but because it would make BW look like a 6 year old, IMO.

I thought we had accepted the fact that Bradley and many other "mid-majors" will never get the respect we deserve from the media.

I relish the fact that Ruffin/Crouch will be underrated even when they stomp schools from BCS conferences all non-conf season long and later in the NCAA tournament.

Even Parrish didn't think that it made JL/Bradley look like a Baby.
