It seems like more MVC schools are recruiting Texas for prep and juco talent. several MVC schools have texas players on their rosters, and Northern Iowa now is pursuing talent there.
Brandon Provost is a 6'3", 3-star shooting guard from Seven Lakes High School in Katy Texas (near Houston). He had offers from several schools but had narrowed his choices to Northern Iowa and Air Force. He visited Air Force 9/28/07 and was scheduled to visit UNI 10/12/07 (the night practice can start). But, unfortunately for the MVC, he cancelled his visit to UNI and committed to Air Force today.

Provost to Mountain West--
Here is a clip from the article--
Three-star prospect Brandon Provost was torn between two schools, but the 6-foot-3, 175-pound combo guard from Katy (Texas) Seven Lakes High School has decided to play in the Mountain West.
"After going back and forth between Northern Iowa and Air Force, Brandon decided on Air Force," said Seven Lakes head coach Dan Miller. "They recruited him as a lead guard and he loves to play the point. He has a chance to possibly start as a freshman and they want him to shoot a ton of threes."
Coach Miller also noted the importance of Provost's visit to Air Force.
"When he wnet out to the Air Force on his official visit, he just fell in love with the campus and atmosphere. He really liked the teammates and coaches. It was a tough choice as Brandon really liked UNI and the coaches, but he is very excited about the Air Force and this opportunity."
Provost is Air Force's fourth commitment in the 2008 class.
