  • Final: Bradley 75 George Mason 67

Bradley will play George Mason in the 2nd round of the NIT. The game is Saturday, March 22, at 2:00 pm Eastern/1:00 pm Central.
The game apparently will be available only on ESPN+ - https://x.com/NITMBB/status/1902553398190194909

George Mason was the co-champion of the Atlantic-10 Conference. They tied with VCU with a 15-3 conference record - https://www.espn.com/mens-college-ba...ings/_/group/3

Overall they are now 27-8, the same overall record of Bradley. Their NET was 68 and their RPI was 25 (Bradley's NET was 80, RPI 47)
The A-10 was the 6th best conference in Conference RPI. The MVC was ranked 9th in Conference RPI.
They are 17-1 at home, and the only loss was to a bad Central Michigan team in the early pre-conference season.T
They made it to the championship game of the A-10 tournament, and lost a close game to VCU 68-63.
And in the first round of the NIT, they easily beat Samford 86-69 - https://www.espn.com/mens-college-ba...meId/401751942

One interesting note- Bradley no longer leads the country in 3-point percentage. After last night's poor shooting (8-27 from three- 29.6%) they have dropped to 4th place. - https://www.espn.com/mens-college-ba...alPct/dir/desc

No doubt excited to get the opportunity to play again. They say it is all mental when it comes to free throw shooting. From being a good free throw shooting team for the year, then starting in St. Louis it has really taken a downturn. Hope the team practices them as will need every point we can get next game to give ourselves a chance. Three points shooting was not good as we went 1for 13 the second half. Maybe next game we can shoot better. As with most fans hope it works out to get another game at home. But first have to beat George Mason. No easy task. Let's get it done."LET'S GO BRAVES"

Finally a game just 5 miles down the road from me! Is there a way to get tickets in the Bradley section?

If I still lived in northern VA, I surely would have purchased tickets to this game. When BU played VCU in the Bracket Busters nearly 20 years ago, we drove down to Richmond to watch BU win. Now, I'm on a different continent (Bogota, Colombia, South America). *sigh*
My first BU hoops game was on 12/30/1963. My dad took me to watch the Braves defeat Arizona 67-59. He helped me get Coach Orsborn's autograph before the game.

          Wow! Qué VACANO!
I've been there a couple of times. Do you live in Bogotá now? I stayed in Cúcuta (near border of Venezuela) for nearly 4 months in 2005. I spent more time outside of US in 2005-06, which unfortunately coincided with the Braves' Sweet 16 run, so I saw fewer Braves games that season than any season since then.

Do not know what the problem is but we need Atlason to give us more than fouls and bad defense ....from memory he was 0-4 from 3...Braves really need his offense bad...

Absolutely Big Mike! He has been a liability, and CT has done very little to help us this season. Fortunately, Meta has stepped up.

We haven't shot well from 3-point land the last 4 games, which was an issue at the end of the last 2 seasons, which prevented us from going farther.
Let's get back to shooting well from behind the arc on Sat!

GM is a VERY strong team - much like BU with the bugaboo getting past 1 team (VCU).
Best team in the NIT field IMO - let's give 'em a run!

Won't soon forget their run to the Final 4 the same season that our Braves reached the Sweet 16!

Patriot Center (Eagle Bank Arena) appears to be all General Admission for the NIT.

For those unaware, GMU's pep band is rather spirited and unique if they show up.

He started off the season on a good track, but ever since the middle of December he has not produced much (besides the Belmont game).

Part of it I think is that he is often playing down low, which isn't really his game.

Didn't Atlason have a 28-point game this season? Where did that come from? In most of his other games, his contributions were minimal.

Yeah man, beginning of the year, Atlason looked like the second coming of Ville with one of the sweetest looking 3 shots we'd seen in quite some time. Still has a nice release, but can't seem to buy a bucket these days. Let's hope he finds it next year and this was just a sophomore slump.

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

Yes and his 3 point shots were not even close to making them.

I hope Bradley can hang with GM on the road to give them a shot at winning!
