ISU coach Tim Jankovich is continuing a Bill Self tradition at Kansas and Illinois by holding an open tryout for the team.--
Here is an article about the Southern Illinois Salukis and their 2007-2008 team. From the picture, it looks like Matt Shaw has really been hitting the weights--
Drake's leading scorer last year (16.2 ppg, 3rd in the MVC) and Honorable Mention All MVC player Ajay Calvin has signed to play professionally in Austria--
Other top MVC players from last year--
1st team All MVC player Nate Funk signed to play professionally in Germany--
2nd team All MVC player Matt Webster signed to play pro in Spain--
Brad Strickland, Webster's teammate at Evansville, signed to play pro in the Netherlands--
Wichita State's Kyle Wilson is signed to play for Trier of the German pro league and will be a teammate of former BU player James Gillingham--
And 2007 MVC Player of the Year Jamaal Tatum still hasn't signed anywhere to play professionally.
And one of the few non-Bradley MVC players playing in the NBA, former SIU guard Troy Hudson was released by the Minnesota Timberwolves, and was signed as a free agent by the Golden State Warriors where he will battle for a roster spot with Patrick O'Bryant--
Troy Hudson tried to become a Rap artist (his Hip-hop name was T-Hud), but his debut album titled "Undrafted" was released in July and sold a total of 78 copies nationwide!
No kidding! His album was ranked #116,515 on Amazon.com's music sales list for it's first week, which is usually the best week for album sales.
Here is where you can order the album or download the singles (check out the titles of the songs!) if anyone is interested!--
Jim Rome report (funny!)--
Hudson had said he was serious about becoming a professional rapper.--
