The ratings are in for the last couple rounds of the NCAA Tourney
they are overall down from 2024 but the Duke- Alabama game did well.
The Houston-Tennessee game was the lowest rated Elite Eight game since 2008.

there's speculation that Duke draws well because they have so many haters wanting to see them lose! LOL
Considering how much the games are being hyped & promoted - for that Houston game to get the worst ratings in 17 years
speaks volumes about how little people care now that all the non-#1 seed teams are gone.

Wouldn't it be an ironic storybook ending if the Championship game was Houston vs Auburn?
The two most historic, massive cheaters in all of college sports, Bruce Pearl & Kelvin Sampson, facing each other for the title.

Because I don’t want to see either of them, but especially Pearl, win anything I’m hoping for Florida to beat Duke in the championship.

And Houston came from 14 points down in the 2nd half to beat Duke 70-67 - https://www.espn.com/mens-college-ba...meId/401746080

It will be Florida vs Houston Monday night for the NCAA Championship

Florida beats Houston 65-63 to win the 2025 National Championship - https://www.espn.com/mens-college-ba...meId/401746082

Ugliest National Championship game I've ever seen. Lots of bad shots, missed layups, turnovers, fouls, missed free throws, and poor 3-point shooting by both teams. And to cap it off, Houston had the final possession with a chance to tie or win, and they completely flubbed it and never got a shot off. Both teams shot under 40% for the game, and both shot 25% or less from three.

Really happy to see neither cheater coaches in the F4 win the chip this year. Thank God.

There is a reason for the bad shooting, the officials are not calling enough fouls and it has turned basketball into a combination of both football and basketball. There are pretty much no real rules being followed anymore. Travelling, palming the ball, 3 seconds in the lane and constant fouling all over the place has been allowed all season. The thing about letting them play is the reason why we see so many more injuries in the game today. I have said all season that I really don"t know what a foul is now because players are allowed to knock each other down and no call or barely touch someone and a foul is called, just wish they would go back to calling the game by the actual rule book.

Yeah, college basketball is becoming more like the NBA every day. They don't call the stuff they should (traveling, 3 seconds, etc.) as you pointed out, then they blow the whistle 40 times a game with no consistency and no desire to let the kids actually play basketball. This was an extremely frustrating year as far as officiating goes, but what do you do? It seems as if this is the direction it's headed and there's not much we can do as fans to address it. Seems like Wardle has accepted it, as well, and has looked at it as just an obstacle/part of the game that needs to be overcome.

For me, I just don't want the game stopped every 30 seconds and I'd be happy.

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

before you get too teary-eyed over Kelvin Sampson and Bruce Pearl, remember that both earn in the range of $6-7 million per year
and both have career earning from the coaching profession of somewhere in the $60-80 million range.

And? I'm glad they don't have a chip. I know they made crazy money.
