rumors that Texas is gonna fire Coach Rodney Terry - LINK
Texas ends the season with 16 losses - the most in history for a team that got an at-large bid!!!
They lost 9 of their final 13 games, whattya expect when you build your roster with mid-major guys.
How the hey did they get an at-large bid over teams like Bradley?
The first NCAA games are under way today and ...
-Creighton seems to be easily handling Louisville
BUT - 13-seed High Point is hanging right there with 4-seed Purdue.
Here's an interesting factoid - the HEAD COACH of High Point was once an active poster right here on Bradleyfans!
He actually signed up under two different screen names way back when he was coaching a team in Illinois.
Anyone wanna take a guess ??
High Point hung close to Purdue for quite a while - even just a one possession game in the final 7 minutes,
but scored only 2 points over the next 6 and a half minutes, and lost 75-63.
McNeese is embarrassing 5-seed Clemson 31-13 at half! (now a 24-point lead at 15:30 in 2nd half)
Former ISU big man Myles Foster is scoreless for Clemson,
and former Bradley recruit Bryant Selebangue is playing some awesome defense down low for McNeese.
Points in the paint 26-8 in favor of McNeese, despite Clemson's huge frontline (6-8, 6-10, 6-11)
Rockford's Sincere Parker (transf from Saint Louis) is playing well.
One more thing -
Georigia (8-10 & 11th place in the SEC) raised some eyebrows getting in and being gifted with a 9-seed
They are once again trying to prove the Selection Committee to be morons- losing early 27-3 to an 8-seed.
Peoria native Declan Dillon, brother of Connor, played 12 minutes and had 2 points and 3 assists.
Former Bradley ball-boy, Brian Barone's team had a nice year. He loses several key seniors from this year's team. Hopefully, he can bring in solid recruits to replace them.
I know some of their better teams will get wins, but the highly touted SEC has started off 1-2 with Georgia losing in a big blowout.
Arkansas, Tennessee and Mizzou still to play but I think Drake will knock off Mizzou...
One major upset in the NCAA Tournament 1st round today-
12-seed McNeese State beat 5-seed Clemson 69-67 - https://www.espn.com/mens-college-ba...meId/401745978
McNeese lead 34-13 at halftime. Clemson gradually came back, but fell short.
Their defense has frustrated Missouri. Missouri shot 7-21 overall (33.3%), and just 2-8 (25%) from three, and they had 9 turnovers.
Drake shot 52.2% (12-23) and they were 50% (3-6) from three. Their lead would have been bigger except for 8 first half turnovers.
Bennett Stirtz has 14 first half points, and Drake is outrebounding Missouri 14-12.

Drake continues to do to Missouri what they did to Bradley in the MVC Tournament championship game. They have given Missouri fits in the 2nd half. Missouri just got their first basket of the 2nd half (now 1-9) 8 minutes into the 2nd half. Drake opened a 15 point lead, and now lead by 13, 43-30 with 12 minutes left. - https://www.espn.com/mens-college-ba...meId/401745985
The Drake Bulldogs survive and advance! They won 67-57. Missouri cut the lead to 2 but as usual they didn't panic and made the plays they had to to win. Stirtz was fantastic as he had 21 points and 4 assists and really controlled the action offensively. They won despite shooting 12-24 from the FT line but they did shoot 25-46 overall, 5-10 from 3 while getting pressured everywhere. Drake held Missouri to 15-45 overall, 4-16 from 3. The Bulldogs will face the winner between UNC Wilmington and Texas Tech. You might not like them because of how they play but you damn well better respect just how hard they play.
North Carolina got beat by Ole Miss (71-64) and was down by double digits most of the game and as much as 20 pts most of the game.
Ole Miss- the 7th best team in the SEC then went stagnant and UNC made a comeback. But they are knocked out now.
(two MVC guys playing in this game-
Belmont's Cade Tyson is a non-factor for UNC (0 PTS, 0 REB)
FOR Ole Miss, former Belmont Malik Dia has 8 pts, 4 reb)
and...yet another SEC team is also going down...Vanderbilt just lost to St. Mary's
So almost every one of the 14 SEC teams BELOW 7TH HAS NOW LOST!
So, it is so obvious that UNC and the bottom half of the SEC did NOT BELONG!!
We aren't evenclose to done with the first round and...
THREE of the 4 ACC teams are already gone (only Duke remains)
In the SEC already FIVE teams have lost, of the 11 who have played (all were given favorable seeds)
(Oklahoma, UK and Florida yet to play)
