    Bradley hosts Northern Michigan University (for practice)

    but not in the way you think.....

    Northern Michigan, the spot where Bradley's Stan Albeck got his start in coaching, is playing this weekend IN Springfield in the Midwest Regional
    of the Division II NCAA Tournament, and have been allowed to use the Bradley facilities (Ren-Col) for team practices.

    They are 22-9 (6th seed) and face conference rival Michigan Tech (3 seed) Saturday at noon at UIS' arena, The Recreation and Athletic Center (TRAC).

    BU hosted NMU every year that Albeck coached there and won every game, although there were a couple in which NMU was actually competitive.
    My first BU hoops game was on 12/30/1963. My dad took me to watch the Braves defeat Arizona 67-59. He helped me get Coach Orsborn's autograph before the game.

        Good for them. Had a HS teammate that went to Northern Michigan.
