  • Watch party

Here is a idea. After the Braves first game in the NIT and should they win, and BU has to go on the road for a second game, wonder if it is possible to have the Civic Center have the game feed on the big scoreboard. That is if the Civic Center does not have another event scheduled that night too. I for one would be there to cheer the Braves on. Any ideas if that would be possible and if so who to contact to make that a possibility.

Sounds pretty cool Dave, and I'd definitely be down for that if I were closer to Peoria!
I would venture to say that the NIT is not a big enough deal to open up the Civic Center for a few hundred to gather and watch, especially for the expectations of this team to make the NCAA tourney. I could be wrong!

I may be wrong, but I believe in my opinion there would be more people than that. Maybe a few thousand. Could be way off base, but I think the support of the BU fans would make it a worthwhile event.

This is a good idea, but it might be more suitable to have such a "watch party" in the Renaissance Coliseum.

Either way I am like you that it is worth checking out. Just wonder if there is not enough time if Bradley were to win and get things set in motion. Would you contact the BU ticket office or some one else in the administration.

Not sure who to contact. Maybe try emailing the Cody Roskins, the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications for Men's Basketball ( croskens@fsmail.bradley.edu ).

Will do and give it a try. All they can say is can't do it in such a short time span. Worth a try though.

Just a follow up on previous post. Sent a e-mail to the Asst. Director of Athletics Communications. Was sent Friday night so I assume office staff were already going home. Hopefully come tomorrow I may receive a response. Worth a try no matter what.

                  Many will recall.......
Bradley did have a watch party in Renaissance Coliseum in 2019-
The 2019 Missouri Valley Conference Champion Bradley Braves are set to learn their fate in the NCAA Tournament this Sunday as fans are invited to Renaissance Coliseum to watch the NCAA Selection Show with the team and staff.

I brought my family to the NCAA watch party at Robertson in 2006 vs Memphis. That was a lot of fun. The actual game not so much.
