  • WEEK no longer Televising BU Games

According to PJstar.com, WEEK will not broadcast any BU basketball games this year as they say the production costs are too high to continue covering Bradley Basketball.

I wonder who is going to take up the slack? I use to watch the games through their web-site.

Jeez that's surprising to me. Whoever picks it up can we get them to use Snell as their guy? (I dunno, I suppose you have to talk too much for radio play by play)

Usually they were home games anaway and most on this board were there. If a new source picked it up I would like to see more road games.

That's really crazy. How could the local BU games NOT be televised at least? There's got to be lots of fans in the community who aren't able to make it to the game for whatever reason (money, home commitments, etc.).

Could it also hurt recruiting a little? I mean I know recruits would rather be on ESPN, but at least, you can say hey, I'm on TV!

It is sad Peoria doesn't have a tv station pro BU to watch the games.

Kinda funny... BU has had some less successful teams over the years... but those were on tv. Now, on the heels of some success and the quiet anxiety of another really good year... sorry, can't cover the games on tv anymore. Guess there are 8-10000 fans who go to the games and want to see them win. The rest like to sit home and watch them on tv and hope they lose. Now that it seems they may not lose as often, who's gonna be at home watching?

Bye bye WEEK - you ain't gonna be missed. Just Bradley basketball is missed.

This is awful news. Sux that we won't be able to see any of the road games.

Ok. So, when do we take action, fellow bradleyfans? I'm not wanting to take this lying down. I mean if there's no outcry, they're going to think it's okay to dis-respect an increasingly successful basketball program.

Angry letters to the PJ star?

                    Flooding WEEK with e-mails?

Yeah, given some more time to reflect on this, it does really kind of make me mad.

The story is that WEEK isn't doing the games. It doesn't mean that there won't be BU games on tv.

As a season ticket holder, I always said it should have to be a sellout before it's televised.
