Yeah, it was a blowout. Valpo kept building their lead all game, and UIC played awful from start to finish. The Beacons lead by as much as 27 points with about 5 minutes left in the game, then UIC cut the final margin to 17 against the Valpo subs. UIC had beaten Valpo twice during the regular season, including the last game of the season this past Sunday.
The attendance for the night session was listed at 3,849. It was 4,402 for the afternoon session.

              Here is the updated bracket-

Drake vs SIU in Quarterfinal game 1. Drake won by 10 at SIU about a month ago. SIU will need to shoot it as good as they did last night to have a chance

Officiating was pretty good yesterday. They let the players play. Hope that happens again today

My biggest question for this game is can SIU handle Drake’s physical presence

11 fouls called so far and their could have been a few more. Both teams being pretty physical

SIU went over 4:00 without scoring as Drake broke out to a 10 point lead during that period. Freshman Isiah Howard, who came into this game averaging 3.9 points, has already set his career high of 14. Drake’s defensive pressure is making it really tough for the Saluki’s to run their offense as they only scored 9 points in the last 9 minutes. At the half it’s Drake 36-25

SIU's game plan was mentioned, and it included per one of their assistants, in NOT convering Isaia Howard from outside,
and instead packing the lane and trying to limit Drake's offensive rebounding.
Well, that worked out terribly as Howard was 3-5 from the arc and has 14 pts. Nagy maybe showing why he didn't get votes for COY.

Drake leads 49-37 with 10:00 left. SIU trying to hang in there but just can’t quite close the gap

I am always a little hesitant to criticize a Division I head coach but.....
Why in the world would SIU's head coach Nagy allow this on his bench...? (sorry for the low quality screen capture)
It's one of the bench players hanging his head down, wearing a hoodie over his head and wearing sunglasses...smh
I have a sneaky feeling that this would not fly on the BU bench.
