DC - sorry if this goes against site policy, and please let me know if so...I have an extra ticket that I haven't been able to sell via T-master (Section S204 in Row 7) - decent seats. I'd take 10 bucks for it if anyone is looking for a seat and could arrange meeting to pass it along. My son and I are traveling from Chicago and plan to arrive around 12:30 at the arena.

Would be awesome to sit next to a fellow fan of this site!

Checking with DaCoach first before I go on....thx

If you are returning to Chicago and desire to stop at Avanti’s, it’s better to go to Avanti’s on. North Knoxville and head north and take Rt 6 heading north to Rt 29. If you travel thru Lacon, watch your speed in town. They will ticket you for 5 miles over the speed limit.

It's our best record (16-3 vs D-1 opponents) since the 1985-'86 season, Hawk's soph season, when the Braves went 32-3 overall.
At this same point in the season, Bradley was CRUUUUUuuuusing at 18-1.

Comparing this year's current record vs the last time the Braves got an At-Large bid (2006 - The Sweet 16 Braves), they were at 13-8 after 21 games!
BU was 14-5 at the same point in the great 1995-'96 season (then went on a great run to end the conf. season)
BU was 15-4 in the 1987-'88 seasons (Hawk's Nat'L POY season) - then went on a spectacular run and only lost 1 more game - vs Auburn in the 1st round of the tourney.

I have not been a die-hard Braves fan like some of you since the mid 80s, but I have been for 30+ years now, and this is the best season so far that I've witnessed, though the '96 team was pretty dang tough (with similar depth as this season and dominant in MVC play).

The Braves' conf. championship season 2 yrs ago was really fun, but halfway thru the conf. season I was not feeling great about the team. Exactly 2 yrs ago, (Jan. 21st) BU fans were discouraged after a late home loss to BELMONT at home, and facing an uphill climb with a 6-4 conf. record. Fortunately, Coach Wardle, as he always does, had the team gelling from that point on and into February, and won the next 10 games to finish 16-4 in the MVC.

Let's keep the Mojo BU nation!
So I got a story going back to the 1980-81 season, my Junior year, Dick Versace's third year at Bradley. We were coming off a MVC title and a NCAA bid in just Versace's 2nd season (from worst to first in one year). Bradley was off to a great start (16-4, 15-4 against D1) and Peoria was going crazy with BU excitement. The Braves traveled to Wichita to face the mighty Shockers and got blown out. David Thirdkill got into a heated disagreement with Versace after the game and it was feared that he quit the team or got kicked off. Don't believed he played the next game, another blowout loss at Tulsa (after beating Tulsa at home earlier). Bradley limped to the finish line (going 2-5 their last seven games, including a first round MVC tournament loss to Drake. They lost their juju. Fortunately cooler heads prevailed and the Braves won the conference and NIT title the following year (my senior year) with Thirdkill, Anderson, Reese, and Mines returning. I hope this years team can continue to take it one game at a time and stay healthy. If so, I don't see a meltdown in our future.
