  • Lathan Sommerville

I am watching Rutgers and Purdue. Lathan just got in game with 4:30 left in first half. Come home big fella! You are just what we need!

Have posted before if he had a change of heart and entered the portal, Wardle would be doing backflips and cartwheels. He would be an immediate starter considering our needs for next year. Probably not likely, but can hope.

Lathan Sommerville must have been returning to the game when you saw him. He actually started the game tonight for Rutgers against Purdue. It was his first start of the season. He played 21 minutes in the game, which just ended, and had 2 points and 3 rebounds as Rutgers lost to Purdue 50-68.

He's played an average of 20 minutes per game off the bench through the first 15 games for Rutgers, and is their 3rd leading scorer (7.7 ppg) and rebounder (4.1 rpg) behind their two other stud freshmen (Ace Bailey and Dylan Harper) who are both likely to jump to the NBA after this season.

Yeah, ESPN doesn't track minutes played live, but posts it after the game.
