The advantage definitely goes to the aggressor when you play this Drake team. In their winning streak, they had a lot of opponents on their heels just trying to play them straight up. In their losses, they ran into teams that brought the game to them and were more aggressive. This is what I’m watching for tonight.
    Compete. Defend. Rebound. Win.

I don't think there's any better MVC coach at devising game plans than Coach BW.
Their plan against Missouri State was to keep Dez White out of the lane and throw the best defense against him and double down low on Osei-Bonsu.
It worked perfectly on those guys who each were held way below their average, so that Brady & Valentine having career days didn't hurt us.

That is pretty insightful and I think correct. Hadn't really occurred to me, but thinking back to those games, that's exactly what happened (at least in the Murray State game, I didn't see the UIC one, but considering how they play, I can only assume!).

I also think the mentality of a team's players can make a difference. Through their first 12 games, Drake's coach and players were very confident, and played like they believed they were the best team in the MVC. That mentality has been shattered with the loss at UIC, the team that was picked 12th (dead last) in the MVC Preseason Poll, followed by losing at home to Murray State. I have to think they now have some doubts about how they compare with the other teams in the Valley.

The over/under line is a miniscule 125.5. I've got the over.

I was really considering making the drive down but the 6PM start is just too early. Everyone that can make it be loud for me.

NO doubt about it, Coach. If we can hand them their 3rd Valley loss in a row, I can only imagine their confidence level would be challenged, to say the least!

Hoping for a good outcome tonight, and I ain't talking about hearing AC/DC rockin' the house during the game, though that would be a bonus!

After watching the first half and just my opinion not very impressed with Drake. They know they have to muck it up to have a chance. We need to take better care of the ball better.

Reasonable crowd tonight. I am not sure what Drake did in the second 10 minutes of the first half. They only had 1 fg in the first 9 minutes.

31-31 at halftime. I think the frequent subbing by Bradley threw off their defensive intensity and allowed Drake to get their way more on offense. They are not a good 3-point shooting team, just 1-6 in the 1st half. But they were better at ramming the ball inside with all their moving screens in the final 10 minutes.

                        Wardle got outcoached tonight...BAD!
Offense had zero flow but we stick with it...no adjustments...lost count on the lazy passes and terrible ball handling!
Biggest thing is 1 and done all night and getting out rebounded by a team who out hustled the Braves all game!
Congrats to Drake who deserved to Win!

Why does Wardle sub out every time a mistake is made? Does that not interfere with the flow for the players? Doesn’t it make them “afraid”
to make a mistake and play tight?

Wardle is the worst coach when it come to substitute patterns there is no flow to the game.
He destroys any momentum the team has.

                                Great music, terrible basketball.

Thanks for playing AC/DC for me!
